Instructors must live in the Hartford/Manchester Connecticut area and be available day, evening or Saturday morning.
Instructors must be able to work legally in the US, as independent contractors.
All teaching is part-time.
Instructors must have a Social Security Number or Federal Tax ID. (Do not send)
Instructors are not employees. Instructors must pay their federal and state taxes.
A car, a telephone and a professional attitude are essential.
Instructors must have a native command of the language,
1 year experience teaching the language,
a patient personality,
reliability, (answering phone calls, keeping appointments)
adequate time for teaching and class preparation.
Instructors must have willingness to meet with the prospective student to let the student decide if he/she wants to take lessons from you.
Instructors must not misrepresent themselves to Second Language, LLC or prospective students regarding their country of origin and language ability.
We are looking for instructors of Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, ESL, Pronunciation, French, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian. Instructors of other languages are welcome.
Instructors tutor private individuals and conduct classes in Newington and at businesses, and sometimes in the student's office, or at other locations acceptable to both student and instructor.
Instructors must be age 18 or older, but there is no "age barrier" here. Retired individuals are encouraged to contact us.
If you are invited to an interview,
please be prepared to bring a resume/CV and list of references to your interview,
please be prepared to give a 10 minute demonstration lesson.
