Portuguese is also spoken in Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe and East Timor.
Although Portuguese and Spanish are linguistically related, they are not at all the same language.
Portuguese grammar is similar to that of Spanish, but the sounds of Portuguese are not at all like those of Spanish.
Portuguese has nasal vowels which you must hear in order to reproduce.
